begin与start
很多场合下意思一样，如：We started/began to study English two years ago. 但在下列场合则不能用begin：
①作为“启程”讲，如：I think we ought to start at six. ②表示“开始工作”，如：The car won't start. 车子发动不起来。 ③作为“开动”、“启动”讲，如：Do you know how to start this machine. [辨析] 这两个动词，都有“开动”之意，在一般情况下可互换使用。 如：They usually begin / start to work at six a.m.
